Essential" Natural wood & Stainless Santoku

This is a 6.5" inch  Stainless Steel "Nitro-V" Blade fitted with a faceted Wa style handle.  Nitro-V is a modified version of AEB-L with added nitrogen and vanadium that offers incredible edge retention and toughness as well as corrosion resistance.  This blade is cryogenically treated which aligns and stabilizes the steel grains after heat treating.  This process greatly increases edge retention and the durability of the knife blade.
 
The Handle is made from stabilized spalted birch, desert ironwood, g10 spacers and exhibition grade ivory.  The goal was to design a hybrid Japanese style handle fused with a western syle butt section to comfortably fit all gripping styles and hand sizes.  Handles will differ slightly due to grain structure and material availability.
